Montreal Canadiens De-Edge

We're halfway done this De-Edge series, or at least we're halfway done the primary jerseys, I'll likely do third jerseys after I've finished every team.  Also if this Canadiens home jersey looks familiar, it's because CCSLC member bigred618 had basically the same idea.  I swear though, I had made this concept before he posted his concept, but since I'm trying to go in alphabetical order I hadn't posted it yet.

Montreal Canadiens:
The Canadiens are often called the "bleu, blanc et rouge", so I thought I would make a jersey that was part bleu, part blanc, and part rouge (blue, white, and red if you don't speak french).  Then the road jersey is basically the striping from the home jersey shrunk down into sleeve and chest stripes.

Minnesota Wild De-Edge

Minnesota Wild:
The Wild have some good looking uniforms right now, but none of them match each other.  So for this concept I basically combined all three of their current jerseys.  And if you are a fan of their inconsistent striping, you'll notice that the striping is slightly different between the two jerseys.

Los Angeles Kings De-Edge

I'm back with another De-Edge concept.  I also want to say that I probably won't be doing any My Thoughts posts very often anymore, I'll be focusing more on concepts.

Los Angeles Kings:
These jerseys are a combination of the Kings 1998-2011 jerseys, their 1980-88 jerseys, and some new stuff.  I thought I'd try a silver jersey for the Kings, since they didn't have a white jersey for their first 21 seasons.  I also used different logos for the home and road jersey, partially because the crown logo doesn't look good on silver, but also because both these logos have been primary logos in the past.

I'm not completely sure this concept works the way it is, so I'd love any thoughts about what needs to be changed.  Thanks for visiting.

Florida Panthers De-Edge

Hello again.  I don't have anything to say so I'll get right to the concept.

Florida Panthers:
For the Panthers I wanted jerseys that look as warm as the State they play in, so I used their sun logo as inspiration for the striping pattern.  I also moved the sleeve stripes to the cuffs, and used extra large TV numbers.

Thanks for visiting, and as always feel free to leave any thoughts, good or bad.

Edmonton Oilers De-Edge

This series seems to be motivating me to making concepts, I have Edmonton done now and quite a few teams from later in the alphabet done (I'm trying to go alphabetically, so those aren't being posted right now).  You can probably expect a couple of posts each week.

Edmonton Oilers:
I changed the striping pattern from the Oilers current jerseys to be a bit more consistent throughout.  I also added the oil-drop from the logo to the sleeve-stripes.

Columbus Blue Jackets De-Edge

I've finally made a De-Edge concept for Columbus.

Columbus Blue Jackets:
I wanted Columbus to have a unique striping pattern, since they are such a young team.  I experimented lots trying to come up with something, but nothing I tried worked.  I had seen a few people use the Blue Jackets unused logo as jersey stripes, so I thought I try my version of that.  Full credit for this idea goes to Avi Stein, Tim O'Brien, Justin Cox, Morgo Uxbridge, and anyone else who has done this before.

Have a good day.

Edit:

Thank you both for the comments.  Here is the update WinnipegJets96 suggested.
I think I'm going to keep the first version as the final version, I personally like it better.

Detroit Red Wings De-Edge

I still haven't made a concept for Columbus, so here are the Red Wings.

Detroit Red Wings:
The Red Wings are a team that shouldn't change their look, but that doesn't make a very interesting concept so you get this instead.  Since Detroit is well known for making automobiles I put racing-stripes down the arms, and then made the rest of the jersey compliment those stripes.  I included an above view of the sleeves to give a better look at the racing-stripes.

Dallas Stars De-Edge

Once again I'm going a bit out of order, skipping the Blue Jackets and making a Stars concept.  I promise though, I won't rename the Blue Jackets in this series.  Also, like the Hurricanes De-Edge concept, you can think of this as my "fix" of the new Stars jerseys.

Dallas Stars:
I started by making the road jersey, with the striping pattern heavily inspired by Dallas' first jerseys.  I then made a matching green jersey, used the new Texas logo as a shoulder patch, and gave the numbers an outline.

Have a good day!
